About the Awards

The Hon'ble Minister of Tourism, in 2024-25,announced that the Awards will be conferred on various tourism stakeholders to recognise their contribution in developing Tamil Nadu Tourism sector. Tamil Nadu.

The Department of Tourism, Government of Tamil Nadu proudly launches the first ever Tamil Nadu State Tourism Awards, a celebration of success, leadership and innovation in the tourism industry of the state.

The Awards shall be presented to various tourism stakeholders annually as a part of the World Tourism Day celebrations with the first edition to be hosted on Oct-2025.

The Hon'ble Minister of Tourism, in 2021-22, announced that the Awards will be conferred on various tourism stakeholders to recognise their contribution in developing Tamil Nadu Tourism sector. The inaugural edition of these prestigious awards took place on 27th September 2022, coinciding with World Tourism Day, at Kalaivanar Arangam in Chennai.

The 4th Edition of the Tamil Nadu Tourism Awards was held on 23rd October 2025 to recognise and honour tourism stakeholders for their significant contributions to the growth of the tourism sector in the State. Oct-2025 The event was inaugurated by the Honourable Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Thiru Ma. Subramanian, in the presence of the Honourable Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE), Thiru P. K. Sekarbabu, along with the Honourable Mayor of Greater Chennai Corporation, Tmt. R. Priya. The occasion was also graced by the Additional Chief Secretary to the Government, Tourism, Culture and Religious Endowments Department, and Chairman of TTDC, Dr. K. Manivasan, I.A.S., and the Director of Tourism and Managing Director of TTDC, Thiru T. Christuraj, I.A.S.
